:geaux:I can't believe the amount of trollers and bama fans coming outta the woodwork to talk noise. I think LSU did absolutely great in this game. Did JJ take a sack at all tonight? Cause I don't think he did. Great play by Nevis on the Safety and great play by Sheppard with the pick at the half. Given the fact that JJ didn't take a sack (if he did my bad, but it's amazing to me) against Bama D and the fact that Lee took too many. I'm not gonna push for Lee anymore on PT. :geaux:
I'm really sorry we didn't win this one, but I don't think you can fault the players for this one. And I'm not blaming the coaches, either. This was just a hard fought game and our Tigers played their butts off. Every one of them. "Sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose. Sometimes it rains." (I'll bet Okie knows that line...) :geaux:
full quote is: "A good friend of mine used to say, "This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while. - Ebby Calvin LaLoosh :thumb:
Sporting News rips the officiation. Conspiracy theorists about SEC officiating might be on to something - Matt Hayes - College Football - Sporting News
That was clearly an interception. I thought he actually got two feet in. I don't know why CBS only showed the endzone view replay once. That was the best look, showing his second foot coming down inside the white. They (CBS) do that a lot (CBS); have for years. I am getting pretty disgusted with college football. Conferences are protecting their undefeated teams for a shot at the big payoff. I've seen it with Florida, Iowa, and now Alabama. The officiating, overall, is terrible. For years, I've said I like the college replay system better than the NFL. I still think it's far less intrusive, but the replay officials are incompetent. I very rarely think the replay ruling was clearly wrong in NFL games. Watching college, I feel about 50/50 that they will get it right. This has been the case for years. I think LSU still would have lost. Their offense was going nowhere w/Lee sans Scott. Patrick Peterson is one of the best college players I have ever seen.
Completely agree with the title of this thread. The kids played very hard and were poised to even win this game; the injuries were a major factor, and so were the refs poor non calls, not to mention the hostile environment. Hard to beat that. I am grateful for their efforts. Overall I think LSU has a good strong team and will continue to improve. Hope the injured players heal well. (BTW, I find the troll's posts distasteful; makes you feel dirty reading it....ugh!)
Slive would just suspend him for a game. But it would send a clear signal to the SEC university Presidents about how Slive conducts business.
Ingram gained 144 yards rushing because he's going to be Bama's first Heisman trophy winner, Einstein.
