I don't think Ridley plays FB next year - I think he's one of our top 2 RB's, and I expect a true freshman to get PT as well.

Also, no way does Barksdale go pro early, and I'd say there's slightly less than a 50% chance he switches to LT.

Lavar Edwards had a pretty good year. I don't think Sam Montgomery passes him up. I think Montgomery gets a good bit of PT though.

I have no idea who the 4th LB will be...

Nice list. I am excited about Hurst, concerned about Hebert.

And Ford should get plenty of playing time next year, but I would not discount Ridley. Nor would I assume that our incoming freshmen RBs won't play. There are too many of them to redshirt them all. Remember CS and KW both played as Freshmen also, so I would expect at least 1-2 of the new guys to play.

I'm in general agreement with you, Mastermind. I think RS will go to running back, but if,
-Ridley continues to develope into a good all purpose back
    -Murphy returns strong
-The other backs that we have not seen much of, or at all, progress

Then RS will probably go to a receiver roll. He needs to be on the field somewhere, maybe not start, but get some playing time:geaux:

Read on Dandy Don where he thinks Montgomery is the 1# right DE going into next year. Hard to say without playing time to evaluate.
I think someone will pass Ridley up on the depth chart. I just dont think he has it, that break away home run speed.

Probably right; I don't think he's that fast either. However, I do hope he becomes the defacto third and three back. Dare I say, perhaps he approaches Hester?

I suspect that Barksdale will move to left tackle to protect the QB. Dworaczyk will likely move to right tackle. He's a natural tackle that was never comfortable at guard this year but moved over to tackle sometimes when Black was out and played better there.

I think Hebert will lose his center job to Lonergan who has improved steadily and has better size than Hebert. Blackwell has one guard position all but sewn up. Hurst and Parsons will likely compete for the other guard.

Faulk and Shaw are tackles but have improved enough that they may get playing time at guard, too.

All in all, I expect that this will be a better offensive line this year. Hebert and Hitt were smart players but both got pushed around a lot because of their size. The guys stepping up have the size and will just have to get smart fast.

Very fast, with North Carolina as our first game:thumb: I'm glad that we stepped out our OOC play, I just hope the team and the fans don't believe we're playing ULL.
