I wonder if Miles will give another "Let Her Rip" speech at the recruiting bash. I hope everyone knows that Miles is the laughing stock on the other sec boards. I sure hope he succeeds.

i believed in skip until this process. i just don't know what to say about the hire right now. i just remember lsu beating notre dame in a bowl game as teppers first as the dc, lsu started the next season ranked in the top ten and talk about a national championship. lsu had a lot of talent on that team and we all know what happened. people that think lsu will win regardless of the coaches must not have been paying attention just a few years ago.

    You got THAT right, friend.

Well, it's more like 10 years ago, but people who think that LSU will win 9 or 10 games a year regardless of who the coach is obviously don't remember the Mike Archer, Curly Hallman and Gerry DiNardo/Lou Tepper years.

LSU is ONE BAD HC hire from being called a "Top 5" coaching job to being called a "Head Coach Graveyard", which is what we were called from 1986 through 1999.

    People seem to forget that.

Right now I bet every college football team's fans are happy that Saban is gone from LSU. They are all relaxed and at ease now.

    THEIR BAD!

Geaux Miles! Time to kick some tiger bait arse in this new era!

Good to see that you know what's important. I mean, I don't know what I'd if I couldn't find out what Aubrun, Florida or Arkansas fans thought.

Which is why this is the most critical hire in the history of our program. Saban doesn't count.

I disagree with this statement. Saban already proved LSU was the "sleeping giant" and that you can win here if you're a good coach. Louisiana has the recruits to be successful. If the head coach has enough talent, ability to recruit, and is good with X's and O's, he will win. The trick is FINDING that person. I am a cynical skeptic by nature, so we'll just have to wait and see how this turns out.
