There aren't that many coastal courses that don't have pretty long stretches from green to tee. That's especially true at the club courses around here. Just off the top of my head I can think of four of five where's there at least an eighth of a mile from green to tee—on several holes. It's an extra mile just getting to the next hole.
It's the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Yes, it's technically the coast but it's not like the coastal golf you'll see this weekend with the LPGA. Swamp areas are common and courses built through them aren't uncommon. Several of the country clubs are built in subdivisions: those built on filled in swamp land. Being on the water spreads the tri-county and what's/how these have been built. This is one I don't walk. I have but don't plan to the next time I play. It's over 6700 from the tips.
I missed them. I am in Shreveport and just got back to hotel from eating Chinese food. @uscvball real shit, too. You know how I know that? They had two young kids playing on the floor behind the r4gister counter. American kids ain’t tough enough to do that all shift.
