Oh Petrino isnt going anywhere, his buyout is insane... I am amazed he signed that. But he pretty much protects him in the event Arkansas falls back to earth. IE they fire him..

But he is there for the long haul...

 

Better was along, Miami didn't come calling. I mean they could have had him as a choice, but didn't. Not saying Miami is the greatest gig, but it is better than Vandy, and at the level I would consider to be the best gig he could hope for at this point in his career. He should have used Vandy as a stepping stone, instead he will stay at AU and fry with the rest when the NCAA brings everything to light.

 

I think this indicates that Vandy is tired of being the SEC bottom feeder and they're going to place a newly added emphasis on their football philosophy. They want their program to be a premier SEC program. Vanderbilt is finally getting their priorities straight. Whether Malzahn signs with Vandy or not, the courtship of Malzahn and their $3 million offer indicates....








...That Vanderbilt has the money AND the willingness to pay their players!!! :grin:
