If blood is to be drawn even legally or with a court order or a subpoena or whatever, shouldn't trained medical personnel like a nurse be doing it rather than a cop?

The whole idea that the police wanted to draw blood from the unconscious person "to protect his rights" is a crock of shit. The police don't gather evidence to protect anybody's rights. They gather evidence to obtain proof of lawbreaking. Apparently there was no probable cause in this case nor even reasonable suspicion to warrant the obtaining of blood evidence.

You didn't ask me, but I'll respond anyway.
He lost control and let the situation escalate to a point it had no business going. Given where the incident took place and the other LE officials I saw in the video he over reacted BIG TIME.

I would think so. Unless he's trained and that's what he does.

    Nothing to do with force.

So are you saying he reacted appropriately?

That's a loaded question. I don't think he should've even pressed the issue. But he did. So now we're in this room. If he tried to put cuffs on and she turned away, then force was used. If he just rushed her because he was mad, then no, completely unnecessary. I still think it was a bullshit move on his part. I'm not excusing what he did.

The truck driver was also a part time reserve officer, this was the good ol'boy system, he was trying to help protect a fellow officer. But grossly over stepped his bounds, and performed an illegal arrest. he should not only be fired but also charged with false imprisonment and unlawful arrest.
