I think UT is as delusional a fanbase as the gumps. They are starving to be relevant again. I seriously think it's Herman or bust for them in their eyes. I'm of the opinion UT is a dumpster fire and a total rebuild. It would take Herman 2-3 years of recruiting before they started to see real success.
And they didn't give Strong a chance to field a complete team of his own. Herman would be a fool to take that job.
He is on the radar but the feeling is he wouldn't be much cheaper than Fischer in the end. Sexton is agent for both. If you are competing against Texas, Oregon, and Baylor for him then that inflates the price too. LSU must and will offer both to hopefully give us some leverage and I suspect we will hear other offers go out to to help add leverage in our favor. However, this is still Jimbo's job to turn down and we want an answer quick.
