actually, UL was penciled in for the Independence Bowl, but LaTech told the bowl officials that they would pull out and go to Houston if UL were chosen... old hates die hard I guess... About 5 seconds after it happened, so classless LSU fans immediately registered on Ragin' Cajun message boards to troll... hard to defend you guys sometimes...
I dog ULL fans at work all the time. But I told them this year they should be proud of what they did. That being said I think its BS that they left out. They are an exciting team to watch this year. Plus, if they would have gotten the Indepence, their fans would have traveled well. I would have loved to see ULL vs LaTech. That would have the first time in a while the Indepence Bowl was a sellout.
The site I was using for the bowl pick em had them playing against Rutgers but that wasnt the only change that I came across. Hey we arent all bad!
pretty much every major publication out there had them in the Indy... even the players were under the impression... two factors worked against them... LaTech forcing them out of the Indy Bowl... ND taking the Hawaii Bowl (they picked the bowl, not the other way around). This pushed WMU out of Hawaii and into Texas, taking a spot that UL would have gotten after missing out on the Indy Bowl... No idea what happened the Motor City Bowl taking the #4 Sun Belt team over UL (#2)

6-6 overall. Sun Belt team. lost 3-out-of-4 down the stretch. In today's economy, if you were in charge of a college football bowl game, remind me again why in the hell would you want these guys? Let's ignore that they're from Louisiana and it'd be all fuzzy-warm, feel-good to watch them play in a bowl. But they have SIX losses out of the Sun Belt. If you want to make it to a bowl game so bad and you're in a small league, then win it. Simple as that. Come back with this La Tech conspiracy crap some other day.
Good. I hope every one of these small schools lose every game they play. It might actually make the athletic department realize we don't need to fill our schedule with these losers.
