Cute, but knowing that ULL fans seem to base their existence on not being LSU, it's hard to read anything by anyone associated with them and not see it as a thinly veiled attempt to slight LSU. He also doesn't seem to get that a) ULL isn't an in-state school and b) a threat by any stretch of the imagination. Hospitality to a small, visiting school is pretty much the norm.

The only thing missing was the phrase "unlike at LSU..." before every sentence.

That said, I have heard great things about Nebraska.

It took me a second to get what he meant as well. By "practices" I think he means LSU rituals or usual LSU gameday things.

"That's right. A guest. Not the opposition ... not the enemy ... a guest."

Of course you were considered a "guest" and not opposition....did you see the score baldy? AND, they don't live near your fans.

There was no "hey, let's stay outside and pound a few more beers."

For the first time ever in my years covering the Cajuns, I did not hear a single boo when the Cajuns came out of their tunnel onto their sidelines; in fact, I heard a smattering of applause.

They didn't leave at halftime to go out and start drinking (and remember it was 34-0 at the half)

In the fourth quarter there were STILL over 80,000 in the stands. Security keeps an eye out for the sign of alcohol in the stands, which is how trouble starts. If they see alcohol they don't turn a blind eye. After all, college football is about a FAMILY atmosphere.

Then it was over. And, as the buses left for the airport, the fans that were still there waved and applauded. No one-finger salutes. No "you suck" chants. Simply, safe travels, my friends.

And, you will learn what REAL college football atmosphere is about.

    But, Jay..your team DOES suck!

    Jay Walker is...bar none...the world's biggest ASS.

Listen to his daily radio call in show for about 15 minutes and you will heartily agree.

And those TV gigs he speaks of? Try Carencro vs. Comeaux on local UHF. Welcome to the big time, Chump.

You are so wrong my friend, have to take issue with you here. Calling Jay Walker as ASS is a compliment to him. If Jay were only an ass that would be a good thing for him. It goes much deeper than that. He absolutely hates LSU and anyone who disagrees with him. The guy will not tolerate a contrary opinion to his on anything. And he is terrible at what he does on top of that. I tuned that clown out a long time ago along with Guilbleaux.

And by the way Jay, in the event you know how to use a computer and get on the internet (something I doubt) between your "smoke breaks" at work, with some of the comments you've made about LSU and its fans over the years, if you show up on campus YOU ARE THE ENEMY, NOT JUST SOME FAN WHO CAME TO WATCH USL TAKE IT$ BEATING! GOT THAT? :thumb: Oh yeah, tell us all again about all the many opportunities you passed up to stay in Lafayette to cover your beloved Cajuns :hihi:
