Someone from ULM asked me just to call them UL first, so they got dibbies...tough luck for US, er, ULL. I can't go confusing myself by calling them ALL UL. Then where would we be?
I'm sorry but this image, taken directly from the first page of the University of Louisiana - Lafayette's web site says to me that they should be called UL-Lafayette I like how they make "Louisiana" all caps, and bold while "Lafayette" is smaller and lower case. Also, the official athletics website rarely uses "Lafayette" and talks about "Louisiana" football, etc. Click here to go to RaginCajuns.com
ULM does the same thing. The official school logo stresses the "University of Louisiana" while de-emphasizing the "Monroe." Also, like ULL, some of ULM's sports teams just put "Louisiana" on their uniforms. For example, the pics below are of the ULM softball team.

You know, most of us probably have zero problem with that. In my case, I could not care less, even if they were renamed The Benevolent Master University of Louisiana and All Her Loyal Residents. That would be tBMULAHLR. :hihi: It's the arrogant, self righteous, hyper sensitive ninny attitude that just energizes the smartazz in most of us and makes us wanna poke at the Cajuns a bit - just to see 'em squirm and whine and get all redfaced! :lol: More, please.
