This is where it gets confusing. Everyday I come into contact with women who are dressed like men, that look like an effeminate man. I have called a woman "sir" before because she looks like a sir. Some have gotten offended. Some have corrected me and I apologize and that's that. Nothing else you can do. Gonna be hard when this next generation of Pats start trying to use the law to make everyone scared of words.
Agreed @Tiger in NC pretty stupid law but also pretty stupid that they feel there needs to be one because jackasses just can't let it go.
I will point out that this proposed law goes beyond mere name, it also includes basic pronouns like "he" and "she". Has nothing to do with lifestyle....for me. I do not believe that one can change their gender no matter how many hormones, surgeries, or the type of clothes they wear. I don't care what they do or how they live but the moment I am expected to play along with what I consider a scientific charade, I'm not doing it. That said, I would just choose not to engage at all.
