Didn't happen. You said they were your #2 or something. If people are doing other things besides going to the game, then clearly that's what they prefer. Not a lot of room for interpretation. When it's in direct response to a particular statement, I don't have to.
Sure it did, many months back. Believe me, I remember when someone calls me a Bama fan. The #2 comment was recently. Correct, if "people" are. I never said I would. Read more carefully. It was in direct response to the other statement in that post. Not that difficult. In fact I suspect you're drinking tonight cause you're not on your game. FIGHT ON! ROLL TIDE!
You think that's bad, here is a photo of Ohio State *visiting* Cal-Berkeley last Saturday. California fans are not as passionate, and will not show up if the home team's not a contender.
One of my uncles always laughs at the way we give him directions when he visits us. Nothing is in miles; it's all in minutes. For instance, I live approximately 8 miles from work. That translates to about 15 minutes.
I have in-laws in Napa, California, and I was shocked to find that most of California is just as normal and sane as the rest of the country...full of small towns, bumpkins, farmers, and people just trying to get by. LA and SF are worlds in and of themselves, and sadly when people think of Californians, they automatically assume they are all like the wackos in the major metropolitan areas. It's like how a lot of Northerners picture Louisianians as Voodoo-practicing, gator-hunting, Duck-calling inbreds.
I'll need proof. If I did do this, then you must have reeeeally screwed-up. By you. Then shane gave you hell for it. Man, you thought I was talking about you personally? Wow, no. I'm talking about all those fairweather SC fans that'd rather go spend the day stargazing on Row-dee-oh Drive. You should have stayed in bed longer. It's all right there in plain view.
Right. Most people don't even know how many miles it is to a particular destination within their own city. I don't, and I work in transportation engineering. Add to that, you're often starting from a different origin, which can really complicate things.
So, you give them minutes. It seems pretty easy to me. When I leave to go somewhere, I don't think, "It'll take me 10 miles to get there." I think, "It'll take me 12 minutes to get to the dance studio," so I'll leave at 5:30 for a 5:45 class.
Yeah, depending on where you are, it can take you 10 minutes to get half a mile, or it can take you 10 minutes to go 3 miles. I honestly don't have any idea how many miles it is between my house and my office, but it takes about 15-20 minutes to get from one to the other, so the distance is completely irrelevant. "Time and money", not "distance and money", amirite?
