If that's accurate, does that mean they play 5 playoff games in each classification to win the title?
One of the major reasons it is so hard to compare regular seasons b/t teams is inequity in scheduling. A major cause of that is inequity in level of talent from team to team. One way to make the playing field more even is to devise a more uniform set of scheduling, like the NFL does. You have a division that your division plays in each conference, and you play division foes twice. A somewhat similar equity in scheduling should be devised for FBS schools. Also, make a "salary cap" for coaching and training and maybe even facilities. I hate the systems of the past like the Yankees and Lakers where the teams with more money can just buy their way into contention. I believe in parity. Dynasties suck. Unless it's your team...
No! Then college football is just NFL light. Parity sucks. I like the barely limited dog eat dog competition we have now.
can't really have a uniform set of scheduling when a particular division is weak most of the time... the patriots, because they play the jets, dolphins and bills, can pencil in 6 wins every year in their division basically...
