I hate to say it…but they deserve to be ranked above us. Their offence have proving week after week to be more efficient than ours. The true test for the hogs will be this weekend against Bama. I think they will upset bama. Just Saying.

I wish they would, but I'm not sure they have a defense to go along with that offense. Until I know that, the jury is still out on them, in my mind.

All other things being equal, it's better to have a stronger defense than a stronger offense.

Writing about conspiracies is not my strong suit. But give thought to this. Here is the first big marquee match up in the power conference of the new season. Ar-Kansas has arguably the best team they have possessed in a long while and Bama sits at #1. Wouldn't two top 10 teams spice it up even more? Polls often reflect who plays who that week. If you tell me it's Saban bowl IV and I tell you the media have got spoons in both hands. LSU is easily sitting where Ar-Kansas finds themselves.

True...IMO this week is the first real test for both of these teams. I'm REALLY looking forward to the game. I'm thinking very little D-fence. Combined score from that game will be in the 80's...easy.

Like So Carolina, we'll move up the week before Bama in order to help Bama.

The polls are driven by the WOW factor and the what have you done for me lately factor.

The fact that Arkansas has stood out offensively has them sitting at 10….. and on the other hand, from what the rest of the nation believes, LSU is over-rated, has tanked the last 2 years and hasn’t shown anything on the offensive side of the football yet this year that shows a different outcome than that of ’08 or ’09

BUT you still see Texas & Florida up there even though they haven’t produced anymore offense than we have….this being due to politics, of them having Urban Meyer & Mack Brown as opposed to the much hated Les Miles.

Florida like us, has relied heavily on their defense to keep them in games and IMO has not played as good of teams we have.

Texas, has played Cup Cakes, and hasn’t covered a spread yet. Struggled early against Rice and a Wyoming Team at home, a Wyoming Team that got smashed at their house by Boise St. last week 51-6

    Florida – 317.3/yards per game
    LSU – 323/yards per game
    Texas – 359.3/yards per game

We are not quite good enough to be considered an elite program, but not bad enough to be considered a sleeper team either.

I don’t think we are over or under rated, and until we continue to smack teams right in the mouth like we have done the last 2 weeks, we will hang right where are in the polls. AND coming from a ridiculously HUGE tiger fan, I don’t see the play calling or offensive explosion happening with this particular group of personnel this year.

Our offense will lolly gag as it has the past 2 years, and our defense will keep us in every game with opportunities to win, I do NOT see many 21-0 first quarters for us or any "Holy Sh!t LSU is putting it on them" victories this year.

Just trying to explain when LSU could expect a quantum leap up the polls.
