When you look at that top 12, which teams jump out as most likely to drop, based on what you've seen thus far this year? I would say Texas, Florida, and LSU. Then I looked up the stats... Top 12 plus offensive rank: 1. bama 4 2. OSU 20 3. Boise St. 7 4. Texas 72 5. TCU 14 6. Oregon 1 7. Nebraska 8 8. UF 92 9. Okla. 37 10. Wis. 30 11. Ark. 15 12. LSU While defense wins championships, you still need points on the board. While LSu is 32nd in the run, they are 115th in the pass, with only 2 of the teams below them being non-option teams...
i'm not talking about jumping another undefeated team....I talking about a team ahead of us losing...and us not moving up 1 spot..instead we were jumped by arky....that's all i'm saying..arky's win was no more impressive than ours.
A buddie of mine went to the game. I talked to him this morning and he said he was treated superbly by the OU fans. Was wearing an Air Force polo. He said the OU fans raved about our team after the game and how they played against a bigger and more talented squad. Thanks to all the OU fans for the great hospitality. :thumb:
I don't understand why anyone's getting worked up about Arkansas jumping us. Remember, WE PLAY ARKANSAS. It's irrelevant. Anyway, they play Alabama next week, so they probably won't be hanging around #11 very long.
Personally, I'd rather hover around the 7-15 range almost all season and than be moved up because I'd rather not be playing all season with a target on our backs. It doesn't matter how long you're ranked #1 or 2, just as long as you get up there in the end.
He didn't mention the flyovers, but we're both retired Air Force and have been attending Falcon games longer than either one of us want to admit and we've seen our fair share of flyovers.
