Bob Starkey, the LSU women's basketball assistant coach who guided the team to the 2007 Final Four, has been promoted to associate head coach by the team's new head coach Van Chancellor. Starkey led LSU to four wins in the NCAA tournament after Pokey Chatman resigned abruptly just before the tournament amid allegations of improper conduct with a former player.
