    Deron Williams
    Chris Paul
    Jason Kidd

    Kobe Bryant
    Michael Redd
    Dwayne Wade

    LeBron James
    Carmelo Anthony
    Tayshaun Prince

    Carlos Boozer
    Dwight Howard
    Chris Bosh

Anyone else here a little disappointed to see Kidd? Looks like we might once again struggle from deep if someone other than Redd can't step up.

I was just about to say that. Their is only 1 shooter. Kidd should have been replaced by someone else. Also, we are thin in the front court, Boozer is the most polished but he is undersized.

Last summer our spark came from the bench, which consisted of clutch shooters. Now we got rid of them and kept Kidd, who obviously is still a very good player but we have one player on the team that is a three point shooter.

I'm not as worried about the big men because I think Carmelo and Lebron will slide down to the four.

Good point with that athelticism at the four, it will play well against international style of ball.

    Another thought...

Should Wade be one this team? The more I think about it the more I think that he brings absolutely nothing to the table. He has a pure American game - not a three point shooter and does not have the handles to be a point guard in international competition, and probably won't get bailed out on fouls like he does in the NBA

Good observation especially on the fouls that he gets. He probably shouldnt be on this team, I think you would do better with a Richard Hamilton (im a homer).

I may be biased (he!!, I know I'm biased), but I think Chris Paul will be the key to this team. Since bringing the pros into the mix, we've had our best success when the team's been anchored by an unselfish point guard who can keep all the monster egos that surround him happy. Paul (and to a lesser degree, Williams) will put his own numbers aside for the good of the team. So would Kidd, of course, but at age 35, he doesn't have the wheels any more. Actually, I have to wonder why Kidd is on the team. With Paul, Williams and D-Wade, we'd have been better off bringing Stoudamire or even Tyson Chandler. Howard's our only true center.

not sure how i just remembered this, but in the hell did laettner get on the dream team?

he completely ruined what would have been the perfect team.

only explanation is amaechi was on the selection committee.

We are so stupid when it comes to putting together these teams.

Why not get 6-8 superstars and weave in some role players to make what I like to call a "TEAM".

I would have selected players like Posey, Bowen and a couple of 3 point specialists.

USA basketball had an agreement to take one college player to go wtih the all nba team and Laetner was the selection.
