Like we haven't been doing this already. Not to mention the majority of the men that acted in the 9/11 tragedy were Saudi.
The Saudis are allies and they are rich beyond the dreams of avarice. We need the money to fund our own arms and the Saudis pay top dollar without quibbling. If we don't sell it to them, they'll just buy them from the French or the Russians. They are ordering 1970's technology F-15's, not F-22's and they don't get any standoff targeting devices. They certainly don't have anything that isn't already overmatched by the Israelis. The Saudis can't defend themselves, as proven in 1991. But they want to have showy planes alongside the US Air Force the next time we have to go bail them out.
