True, that's another point. Even the ones who were already on roster (Jr's) will be allowed to transfer, right?

I know recruiting is cut throat and very intense but he's willing to land a kid at all costs. The link tells of him having players lie about being committed to FSU only to give appearance of flipping and going to Florida. That's going out of the way to hurt another team in the process.

I don't remember the details but he'd lied to one of the Toliver's about LSU.

He also gave a USC kid's girlfriend a scholarship to get him. It may have been E. Moody. My memory of specifics is terrible.

Also, I think DC's have largely figured out Meyer's spread by now. That offense isn't taking anyone by surprise anymore. He happened to have a phenom at QB who was tailor made for that system, and the next Tebow just got that much harder to find in Big 10 country.

Agreed. Additionally, there was no real scoop, nothing real egregious or worrisome. He frames out what he shares with recruits and presents it in a way positive for his program, so what? It may be a bit scumbaggish, or sly, depending how you look at it, but it is not really some big newsflash. I don't like him personally, but what was presented was nothing that any other coach wouldn't do, and none of it was major violation level, in addition to being subjective and opinionated.

Offensive minded coaches will only have that much success before they get caught up on. I agree. Look at Oregon, Florida and possibly Auburn. Cum starting failing miserably at FLA with elite talent, Kelly couldn't pull off a big SEC besides playing the Vols. On the other hand, defensive teams and their culture goes a looooong way before getting caught up. Must I mention Little Nicky, our very own Coach Chavis and the Georgia Dawgs to name a few?

Not the first article to cause CUM of lying, and likely won't be the last. This one from 2008 mentions the Terrance Tolliver episode, Patrick Peterson and several others.

    Bleacher Report Calls Out Meyer

CUM might just be the perfect fit for OSU.

I don't get this article. It's all based on Meyer tell recruits that he thought the NCAA punishments would not be severe.

First, that is so subjective right off the bat. It's just his opinion and what continues "severe"? Every incoming coach is going to be optimistic and paint as rosy a picture as possible. Would you expect him to tell kids, "dude we're sooo phucked!"

Second, the NCAA report was released before National Signing Day. What motivation does he have to straight up lie to recruits about something that will come to light before signing day? That makes no sense. If you lie to a kid, and he finds out, then he just changes his commitment. In this case there was a 100% chance that they would find out.

I'm not saying Meyer does not lie to recruits but this article adds nothing. It just uses a weak point as an opportunity to rehash prior events.
