Urban Meyer is a Bully AND a Hypocrite

So says ESPN:

University of Florida football coach Urban Meyer stepped way over the line with his outburst at Orlando Sentinel sports writer Jeremy Fowler - ESPN

 

sounds like the db is wound pretty tight. i hope the cameras are rolling when he really flips out. i have a feeling a show is coming.

 

I don't know what the kid did or what the reporter said, but I didn't think Meyer was over the top with the reporter. He just called the reporter out on what he wrote and he didn't yell, scream or get out of line.

The reporters need to grow up and take criticism, justified or not, like a man.

 

the reporter quoted what a gator player said. the full quote, which there was nothing wrong with, but others then took it out of context. yet meyer went after the reporter as if he had been the one to do so.

sounds a bit over-board to me.

 

The player said what he said.

It's the journalist's job to report it. Nothing was fabricated. Nothing was taken out of context -- except by the readers who read it.

Threatening to lock an entire newspaper out of Florida's practice facilities and not allowing them to cover the team ever again -- and calling the reporter a bad egg or whatever he called him is ridiculous.

you're getting paid probably 25 times that reporter -- if not more -- and their coverage of your program is what allows you have that big salary in the first place.

Ole Urban needs to ease up before the ole chest starts a-achin' again.

Urban just looking for some attention, thats about the gist of it. Can't be news to anyone that he's a @ss. Wish the reporter as Urban gets into his personal space at the beginning would have dropped him with a right cross.
