It's not "Miles Love" or whatever. LSU doesn't have a Bear Bryant or a Nick Saban. Les Miles is the closest thing we have had to a career winner & one source of pride that we did have. The numbers back it up. On this board, I know most hate him, for whatever reasons. In Baton Rouge, things are far different. A lot of people, are pissed about the entire "I am the search" fiasco.

 

A hell of a lot more people in Baton Rouge are glad Les is gone than unhappy about it. That doesn't mean that the hiring of Oeaux has their approval but unlike you, any knowledgeable fan could clearly see that Les' luck had run its last Miles.

Had Alleva & the board actually had a plan & wanted LSU to be successful in the future, by hiring a Top Notch (I.E.. Coach winning at Miles level or better) coach, maybe things wound have been different. LSU passed up both Nebraska /Solich & Tennessee/ Fulmer on the stupid scale. Fell outta the stupid tree & hit every branch.

How many times at LSU has a BOS member made a statement to the press that this could be his last couple games after being ranked in the Top 5? Do you believe retarded shit like that affects a team?

To be fair, once we had some realistic candidates in front of us... maybe most didnt want Orgeron, but he probably still had like 40% of the support whereas the next candidate had 30%,. Its like voting for a mayor in New Orleans; one finalist should never have been a candidate but they have some sort of connection.

 

I wonder what would have happened had they insisted Miles replace Cam Cameron and get a new OC when they did the debacle with Jimbo. We will never know

 

How many times did we think Miles changing OC's would yield a different result?
