I think that Urban saw what was coming down the road and bailed. I have no facts but what I see on the field. Urban bailed on the Gators and left a mess. They are a small spread team trying to play big boy football. Run the ball stop the Run !!! I have little respect for Urban but he seems to have pulled it all off. I LSU will be laying 7 pts to these guys. Bama looked very good and the #1 issue with beating Bama is #3 !
No doubt, the differences between a pass happy offense and an SEC offense were on display last night. Look for more of the same next Saturday !!
Having met Urban Meyer in person, the huge ego and persona of arrogance he displays on TV are spot on. While I'm sure his health issues are legitimate, I'm sure he was not up for a 3-4 year rebuilding process the Gators are obviously going through and that most elite teams face. (See LSU '08-10).

He is a ESPN guy now but he acts like he is tied to the Gators for life. They asked him about TM7 and he says oh yea I had a guy like him. Really Urban ?? I have not seen anyone like TM7 after 40 years of watching college football. Why couldn't Urban just say - yes, he is an amazing football player. Then when asked about the fake FG CLM hung on him in 2010 he brought up that Les went for it 5 times on 4th down , he is just living right down there. You will not see much buy in with LSU from Urban and I have the dip figured now. Urban had a nice ride but his throne was falling and unlike CLM he bailed. He would not pay the price to take the heat like CLM to bring the program back to the top for a 2nd run!!!!
