Yet, the people whose full-time job is college football rank Georgia at #3 in the nation (both sportswriters and coaches).

And we know how accurate they are! I think Georgia will win easily out west but I do see them dropping a couple SEC games.

After watching all the SEC teams play at least two games I think Florida is the team to beat at the moment followed by LSU, Georgia, then a toss up between Alabama and Auburn.

Ohio State will loose at least two more games and yes Troy may be one of them. Troy has a lot of talent and good team speed which we all now Ohio State has little or no problems with.

LSU should have little problem with Auburn this week. They have new coordinators and are struggling with the spread. Auburns D looked good against Moo U. but that was Moo U. LSU 27 Au 6.:geaux::crystal:

I agree completely. South Carolina was also their own worst enemy in that game. They should've beaten UGA by two TD's, but of course, they are South Carolina (enough said.)

Spurrier's tenure at SC should be enough for people to realize that even the best coaches need to have elite talent to win at an elite level.

well vandy beat rice! wait, does that help my argument?

thats quite a stretch for a 34-0 score. maybe LSU should've lost to AppSt. the margin of victory was less.

since you have watched all their games, you know they have one of the best Ds in the country. add that to a hostile environment to a visiting team and you have a very good win for uga. many of the reasons that this game was tough for uga are the same for LSU vs auburn.

you should be careful saying USC sucks. they could end up beating a top 5 LSU in a few weeks.

If that's how I come across when defending coaches, I'll stop.

I agree that SC's D is pretty nasty and scarier still is the fact that Smelley shows signs of brilliance from time to time. When the light bulb comes on for him, they are going to be a force. I think they let an underappreciated Vandy team sneak up on them. Time will tell.

You're correct in that 34-0 against NC State isn't exactly squeaking by. I did watch the whole game, and since it was 3-0 at halftime, I guess I was mentally asleep during the second half. However, I do remember them scoring most of their points in the 4th, and NC State was absolutely exhausted on defense.

I still maintain that SC is a bad team. But this was about UGA. SC lost to UGA because they fumbled in the end zone, and couldn't execute when it counted at the end. But they shouldn't have been in the game against a top 5 team. UGA isn't a top 5 team.

Neither Arkansas nor Kentucky should have been in the game with a number one team, either.

I sincerly hope that Troy wins. Ohio state has already ruined their chances this year, and not to mention for the last 2 years. You have no idea what a win against Ohio State would do for Troy. They are considered the step child here in Alabama, and I'd like to see that program grow and grow. They've never asked for money from tax payers like UAB, and they weren't given a stadium like UAB. Troy has worked for everything, and gone out and found their own supporters to help them build a program. They have taken on all the big teams, just to get the payoff to help them finance the program, and they have given some of those schools more than they wanted. When Missouri came to town, the TV announcers kept saying "and Troy thinks that they can win". Well they did win and it was great. It's good to see a school build from the ground up, and you don't hear them complaining like us Bama and Auburn fans do.
