So basically if LSU can win one of 3 vs Auburn, that forces Bama or Ole Miss to sweep to win the West.

Not a bad spot to be in.

Yes!...and although Bama and Ole Miss each won their series this weekend, they both came extremely close to being swept. Bama is at Georgia which makes their chance at the West title pretty slim.

I plan to win the series versus Auburn so hopefully the Ole Miss series won't even have an impact on us.

We shouldnt have much of a problem unless we get swept, and even though UGA wrapped up the SEC title they will still be playing for a top spot overall.

Shows how pointless preseason predictions are in baseball.

LSU and Bama were picked 5th and 6th respectively in the preseason West standings.

What adds to those picks is they were done by the SEC coaches. How many people (coaches and fans) would have picked USCe to be in 5th place in the East going into this weekend?

It's been an interesting season to follow. I do wonder if the league has ever been in the position it is today where the weekend series will have 11 of the 12 teams with a shot at the tourney.

With your winning streak you guys should take care of Auburn going into Sunday. I see UK winning their series (at home) versus Ole Miss. They looked very good this weekend vs UT. Arkansas will probably win their series and sit at 15-14 after this weekend.

Yea. The way we have been playing, we should be able to take at least one game. But I sure wish Bama and Ole Miss would have lost yesterday.

In the seeding for the tournament, do they seed the winners of the division as 1 and 2 or do they go stricktly by the records (as Vandy is half game ahead of us but 2nd in their division)?

They give the 1 and 2 seeds to the division winners.
Which means if things stay the way the are LSU will have the 2 seed no matter what Vandy's record is.
