I read an article about him as a GA where he would go to and sit in on every meeting he could whether invited or not. He is a student of the game and was able to convince others just how much of a football mind he was. He never played defense and barely got mop up duty as a back up QB. Even then he was a coach on the sidelines and in practice because he was so quick to pick up on deficiencies. Dude is a freak for X's and O's and it is that reason he was welcomed to be the LB's coach. How he excelled as a savant is what got him the opportunity with the Saints. E saw him give a presentation on the RPO at a coaches convention and knew then he was a freak. O never heard of him and decided to meet with him. O decided after 1 meeting with a cat he never heard of to hire him. Hell of a story, that Brady kid.
The WRs we have now are way better than Quinn and Dural. I can't help but think what Landry and ObJ would have done though.
Landry and OBJ were outstanding in 2013 and because of it got drafted high. I see Jefferson as an OBJ clone, I think he's that good and that explosive. Chase is better than Landry in what they offer, although two totally different receivers.
I agree. I was thinking more along the line of the talents that were wasted. OBJ and Landry were incredible, but it doesn’t feel like their talents were wasted because they had success here.
Not sure if this was mentioned already, but Zach Evans has 3 crystal balls now predicting LSU. Not sure that means much though; dude has been playing it very close to the chest.
It also looks like there is a solid 2018 QB in the transfer portal from Bossier City: https://n.rivals.com/news/rivals-roundtable-transfer-portal-players-worth-watching
That would make a lot of sense. Chemistry would already be established. I remember wondering why the hell he was going to TCU.
