LSU fucked up with their QB recruiting in 2020 and can do much much better ... Thank God we got a pistolero like Myles Brennan ... But we have zero back up ... I’m telling you ... Had Joe gone down, Myles could have won these tough games for us ... I’m sure of it ... Let Ole Ramah give you a little History Lesson about Recruiting ... Go back in time to 2017 Recruiting ... Look at Top 10 QBs ***** (5-Stars) Davis Mills (Stanford) ... Pro Hunter Johnson (Clemson) ... Pro Tua Tagovailoa (Bama) ... Dual ***** (4-Stars) Jake Fromm (GA) ... Pro Tate Martell (OSU) ... Dual Jack Sears (USC) ... Pro Kellen Mond (TAMU) ... Dual Sam Ehlinger (Texas) ... Dual Dylan McCaffrey (Mich) ... Pro Myles Brennan (LSU) ... Pro These are the Top 10 QBs ... Recognize any! We were elated to get a Top 10 QB at LSU with Brennan who broke all the Mississippi HS passing records ... Top 3 in 2018 (only 5-stars) are Trevor Lawrence & Justin Fields (Sending us Joe) & JT Daniels (USC) LSU, IMO, in the future, SHOULD ONLY SELECT TOP 10 QBs ... preferably 5-Stars, and 4-stars only when assessed by Joe Brady Look at our choices for 2019 Peter Parrish was 23rd ranked QB ... Dual 4**** Look at our choices for 2020 Max Johnson ... Pro ... 19th ranked QB 4**** T J Finley ... Pro ... 33rd ranked QB 3*** https://247sports.com/Season/2020-F...?InstitutionGroup=HighSchool&PositionGroup=QB We need to stick to top 10 QBs and steal us a killer from 2020 class to back up Myles!
Ramah say ... Let’s go poach that 5-Star QB Clemson got https://247sports.com/Player/DJ-Uiagalelei-45573350/ Oeaux can get this 5-star kid outta California Or Let’s poach one of those 4-star QBs at Texas or Texas A&M https://247sports.com/Season/2020-F...?InstitutionGroup=HighSchool&PositionGroup=QB
I'm banking that we get the 5 star kid in 2021 #1 Dual Threat QB Caleb Williams (19th ranked nationally). Just think what we could do with a true dual threat QB in this offense?
What is Brady's experience in evaluating and developing QBs? He may be a whiz at RPOs and passing schemes but I'd think Ensminger is a better judge of QB talent.
As far as I know, his only position coaching experience was one year coaching LBs at William & Mary. Of course, that experience would not indicate the ability to scheme offenses, so who the hell knows?????
What I always found strange was that every year we would get the best wide receivers in the nation, almost always get one five-star recruit out of the bunch, even with no semblance of a passing game.
Despite his youth and lack of experience Brady is a student of the game and a fast learner. If he is put in the position to develop QBs he will develop them and do it well.
It is bizarre. But for the past few years, and even a bit into the future, Louisiana is/has been absolutely STACKED with wide receiver talent. Of course, the downside of that is how much talent we wasted over the years. Think about how good guys like Trey Quinn and Travin Dural would have been in this offense.
