How you figure that one? Unless he joined Jenny Craig or something.:hihi: If he stays healthy, he'll be ok. This allows the Sox to still take their time with Bucholtz, without having to let Tavarez give up 8 runs every 5th game. Plus, it gives them an extra arm to throw out there when (not if) Wakefield misses time with his 65 year old back.
2 time cy winner is damaged goods. will start in triple a and like stay there then retire which is unfortunate. i love me some fat pitchers.
Agree that he's no longer a very effective pitcher. However, I'm pretty sure he only has one cy--2005.
i think you're right. i probably considered him and sabatthia the same guy. if one eats the other one do they get credit for both awards?
We had all but given up on Oliver Perez until last year... so we shall see, but as far as Colon is concerned... I don't see him doing well in the AL... much less the AL East.
Perez' problem was that he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn...he always had phenomenal "stuff". Colon has lost a lot of the velocity and movement to go along with being a fat slob who has no chance at reaching a 100 pitch count.
I know it's only spring training, but is it too much to ask for this guy to get out of the 1st inning?
Anyone else thinks it is absolutley insane that the Rays would start the season with Evan Longoria in the minors when he could be one of the best players on the team just to save money in his arbitration deal in a few years.
