Wrap up of a little of what I saw in between wiping 5 month old daughter's crappy butt and doing other stuff. Lots more options this year than last in terms of legitimate substitutions. I think Warren, for instance, is going to get a lot of pt. Farrar is good, too. Speaking of: Storm Warren is going to be good. Warren and Taz are the only guys capable of pushing around a little in the paint. This team hustles - big time. I also get a sense of quiet calm about this team - like they've adapted some of their coach's gametime demeanor. Definitely not Bradyesque.
Here's a telling stat: LSU had 39 bench points! When is the last time you have seen an LSU team have a bench that can score?
For balance, let's remember that Alcorn State was very short and shoots 45% from the - wait for it - FREE THROW LINE. So, great performance. Very excited. Still MUCHO early, though.
Hey, now... The national runner-ups last year shot very poorly.... That's why they ended up #2 :hihi:
Just had to comment on Albany; I graduated from high school there... Derail over. I just found out that one of my husband's best friends (played basketball at Rice in the mid-late 80's) knows Trent Johnson and one of the assistants very well. He insists that we'll be very pleased with Johnson as our head coach.
