Contrary to previous reporting both classes and exams have been canceled for the week at USC. Additionally another small dam near Columbia is about to burst, thus stressing infrastructure further.
Well, it is kind of funny that Lindsay Graham is asking for federal aid for this Hurricane, but opposed the federal aid for Sandy. Is that a derail? It kinda fits right?
fyi, it's a myth that rain sets you up for a cold, LOL. everyone thinks this, but evidence does not support it. it's kind of like everyone thinks all of these athletes finishing up HS are still growing. 99% won't gain another inch, but everyone thinks they will. by 17 y/o, our growth plates are fused for most of us, so it is the rarity that you will grow taller in college.
Actually, no. The weather itself doesn't set you up for pneumonia. It's the fact that the weather brings folks into closer confines where viruses are then shared. The virus then wreaks havoc for a few days to the point that natural bacteria in your airway take advantage and then you may go on to get a secondary ear/sinus infection, or pneumonia. Most of the time, all of those bacterial infections are secondary consequences of a protracted viral illness. In fact, many times, what appears to be a bacterial infection is actually just a nasty viral process w/an intense immune response. I know BB was jk, but I thought I would clarify that myth.
Neutral site is out of the question. It's either gonna be in Columbia or Death Valley and we will know by COB today per 247
Jacksonville may still be in the mix...USC doing all they can to prevent it from being played here. Also looking good for LSU to keep their 2020 home game vs USC if played here. I would assume USC would get all the ticket revenue as the Home team.
So many issues. How would they handle tickets? General admission for everybody that shows up? or parking? How about TV? If LSU can't find a hotel to accommodate SC, it may be moved to afternoon to enable SC to fly in and fly out. This is going to be an oddball game no matter where it is played and a small, unusual crowd may affect both teams.
