I saw an interesting stat on the ESPN bottom-of-the-screen scroll during last night's game - Florida is 0-5 since Teabow has been the QB when they trail at any point in the second half of the game.
Last year their weakness was the 2 minute offense. It was awful against the Tigers. It seems like they are trying to remedy that by making T-bone a dropback passer. This is clearly not working. Our main concern will be covering their running back, who is really a reciever, out of the backfield. I certainly believe we can beat them, but I expect it to be close. The swamp is not an easy place to play. Hats off to Old Miss for that great win. Our D line will make their O line wish they were playing the rebs again! LSU 28 FL 24
damn, i had a good joke here... I think tebow is still one of, if not the best individual player in the conference. Harvin being healty really hasn't changed the florida gameplan. it's the same story as last year. Stop tebow and you stop the gators. This game will rest on our D, and I think they do just enough to win in another close on. LSU 17 UF 14
Moody is out for the Arkansas game and I think he will be for the LSU game as well. Moody was supposed to represent a more standardized running game but that hasn't panned out as of yet. Now his injury delays that even further. In talking to a friend of mine who is a Gator alum, he says that the plan this year was for Tebow not to run nearly as much. I gotta believe that decision will come back to haunt them. He is the best athlete in the SEC as PodKatt stated, and you gotta ride that horse into the ground. I hope they keep the same offensive philosophy. If they do, LSU will win, and maybe going away. LSU will do a good job minimizing Harvin's contribution to the offense, just as we did last year.
Yes, but unless the D coordinators make an adjustment, Harvin out of the backfield for the pass may be a killer.
Make no doubt, they will. We got a few things up our sleeves we haven't shown just yet. Our D-line will have it's finest game of the season to date.
Hes definitely not the best athlete, maybe one of the best football players, but their are a ton of better athletes in the SEC than tebow.
Based on what he did last year and what he is obviously capable of doing when utilized correctly, I respectfully disagree. Don't make me pull out the stats from last season. :thumb:
Athletic is such an subjective term. You have to take into account speed, strength, agility, endurance, etc. Tebow is def up there though.
50+ TDs in one season where 8 of your 12 games are played in a defensive laden conference such as the SEC. Won't ever be done again. That's athleticism at it's finest.
