Please clear something up for me.... I go to hornfans.com periodically to check in on what you guys are saying and there is a guy over there that is constantly spouting out bull****... His name is "sii," I believe... Today, he is making the claim that LSU coaches are telling recruits that Fred Rouse will sign with LSU. He also said Ketch is saying that LSU coaches have started telling recruits just about anything. "Sii" went on to call Miles out as a snake.. Normally, I wouldn't give two ****s, but this guy has been saying stuff like this for a while... Now, the UT fans on this board have generally been cool...but, for a team that hasn't lived up to their recruiting classes, where do people like that guy get off? Are some of you guys that insecure? Not trying to flame, just wanting to know where these guys come from?
I'm guessing he's just a whinny little wuss, that can't handle the fact that Texas and LSU are competing for the same recruits. Throw in the fact that since he's had to go through watching OSU do something that his Longhorns can't--beat OU twice in 4 years. :dis: I wouldn't worry too much about someone's perceived notion that another coach is lying to recruits, or "tell recruits just about anything" because as we're being shown, these recruits talk to one another--some of them on a regular basis, and if things are being said, the recruits will let each other know, and soon enough, every recruit will know you're lying. So I dont' think Miles, nor anyone on his staff, would do anything like that. ....he probably can't stand Miles--similar to have we view other SEC coaches.
I think you're right... I mean not to pigeon hole all Texas fans in one category, but there are some seriously dillusional UT fans out there. Granted, they have had some great seasons.... But, I would say that, on average, over the past five years, UT has had the best recruiting classes or close to it... Some of these guys act like they are either playing in the NC game every year or have won consistent Big 12 titles...Which they have done neither!
I don't know where they come from either. I hate Sii because he's annoyling-ly positive. Everytime someone says that Perrilloux is leaning LSU, he looks away and says something like "he hasn't quoted that!" and will say the same kind of stuff about basically all of the recruits. I have a ton of posts on HornFans and I stay away from the recruiting board there mostly because of people like him.
Like I said, I definitely am not generalizing you guys into all that guy says... You guys have a program most would kill for, but it just irks me when guys like that send personal attacks against good guys like Les Miles... It should be an interesting three days for LSU fans and for Texas fans...
Have to admit I've seen hundreds of posts over the last few years saying just about the same thing in regard to Brown by LSU posters on the various boards.
I know we aren't completely clean about it...but I guess the point I was more trying to make is that this guy took it too far. Especially considering Mack has little trophy space to back it up.. At least Saban/LSU won 2 SEC championships and a National Championship...
