Since I was old enough to remember, LSU has always wore their white (home) jerseys for games at home or away, with the exception of maybe once a year, they might wear the purple jerseys at home for a cupcake out of conference game. It also seems like the other teams in the SEC (Florida, Tenn, bama, AU, etc.) seem to wear their road jerseys at home. What's the deal with that? I haven't seen LSU wear their purple jerseys in an SEC game since I could remember. What's stopping the home team, like in this wk's game at bama, from wearing their white jerseys forcing us to wear our purples? I know it's b/c they usually always play in their solids, but they could do that if they wanted to, if for anything a petty mental advantage for making LSU wear a different uniform than what they're used to. IDK
We're the ones that wear our road jersey's at home, not them. The whites are road jerseys, darks are home. If Alabama decided they wanted to wear white and make us wear purple, they could.
MSU USED to always make us wear purple at their place. This year, we wore white against them in Starkville... Also, in the 90's, we actually wore YELLOW with white helmets a few times under Dinardo.
NCAA rule is that home team can wear whichever, dark/white, they want IF the visiting team consents. SEC then made a rule to where it was only for conference games.. and that both teams could wear color jerseys if there's enough difference/contrast (or something like that). For non-conference home games LSU wears the purple jersey.
As long as they aren't that ba$tard cross of puke green and piss yellow that Oregon wore when they played us in September they can wear pink princess heels ~
