 Now you're not just blaming 8 years of Bush for causing the problems but it's 200 years of problems the Messiah has to fix.

...and the excuses never end. (I'm assuming you're omitting the 8 years of Clinton though.)

The guy only needed a few days in office to win the Nobel but I guess we'll be waiting a looonnnnggggggg time for everything else.

I guess you slept through 2008. As much as you like to search the internet, I'm sure you'll have no problem finding stories and quotes about how this administration claimed to have all the answers. Then again...just like the claim for transparency and airing the health care debate on C-Span...I guess you and others will continue to only hear what you want to hear. That's funny since you're the one who just posted on another thread that some are doing as they're told by Fox News. You've been bought so badly it's comical to hear you make that claim about someone else.

Sometimes I wonder if you're a 1) a hypocrite, 2) someone who can't admit when they're wrong, 3) a liberal pretending to be a moderate, or 4) all of the above.

The stimulus was supposed to be for "shovel ready" projects NOT something that would take long enough for the party to then claim they need for more years to resolve. I'm not complaining that he hasn't solved EVERY problem. I'm complaining that he hasn't solved ANY problem and is making matters worse.

I'm curious to know what your forecast is for this year. I can't see any of these agenda items making things better in the next 12 months so I guess you'll be here again claiming he needs more time. Why is it that Republicans are supposed to win wars in weeks and are always hounded by Democrats to provide completion dates but Democrat plans aren't held to the same standard?

I want dates! When (exactly) will unemployment drop? When will Affirmative Action end? When will we win the war on terrorism? When will we not have a deficit? When will bridges be built? When will highways be constructed? When will we have high speed rail? When will we go to Mars?

If this group has all the answers and demands the same when the other party is in office then let's not be Democrites! Answer the questions and PROVE the claims you made during the election. (I bet they won't because they CAN'T!)

people with "principles" oppose big spending and do not wait until the inevitable failure of the policy to oppose it.

what you are saying is like a german saying "wait until hitler's plan for the jew problem has a couple years and then we will decide if it worked".

    principles. get some.

Wow,Red said quite the opposite for the last 8 years.
Its too bad he doesn't treat the Dems and the Libs the same as he does the right.

    How about this:
We shouldn't mortgage our children and grandchildren's future for any reason.
We should also be a little more fair when it comes to looking at both parties.
As a conservative I have been more fair than some on this board!

conservatives, and john mccain specifically, has said that the wars might take years to complete, so we should take that into account. liberals didnt have trouble opposing that on principle.

i would understand a little debt, if it would grow the economy such that the future debt was insignificant. but the only way to do that would be to spend only on things that are certain to help us, like infrastructure and education. almost nothing else. and never clunkers, or bailouts or obamacare or cap and trade, these things are not just wastes of money, they are actively hurting us.

No, I asked you to back up the preposterous claims you were making and you can't do it. So you tell me to go search the internet for it. You really don't want me to do that.

Now you're trying to old trick of changing the subject to a criticism of me instead of just answering the questions. I knew that you couldn't.

"shovel-ready" means that it will start quickly, not that it will all be finished within a year. How naive can you get?

You are entitled to your opinions. But if you make up facts I will shoot them down.

Again, whoever said that republicans are supposed to win their wars in weeks? Nobody. You make up issues.

    Watch and learn.

What in the world does this sentence mean?

You can't back up the claims you made a few posts up.

Oh, and you get to say what "principles" are virtuous and which are not?

    No, they are all yours.

i would have an opinion on which are virtuous, but you have nothing.

perhaps you could say "tax and spend works", or "i am a keynesian". at least then you would stand for something. your philosophy appears to be "lets give this a try, why not?", and to be critical of those who understand their own beliefs enough to oppose things.

Prove it. You can't, of course.

Everybody has principles, you just hold your particular prinicples to be valid and mine to be invalid. You do this as a distraction from the issues, which you don't argue very well.

"lets give this plan a try" is not a principle. it is a random application of a nonsense idea that because something is currently politically plausible that it should be tried.

perhaps someone should explain you why you cant tax and spend your way to prosperity? yunno, economic principles.
