    Great idea.

We surely can't be scared of putting competition like this on the schedule. After all, we are LSU!

I would also like to see us schedule a consistently winning mid-major program as well to help out with the SOS (Troy, Marshall, etc).

Maybe another BCS program that is struggling (ala Washington this year) as a 3rd OOC game and then a true cupcake (e.g., Tulane) and the schedule would be outstanding on a yearly basis.

Totally for it. If they're good enough to beat us, then as long as it's a close game, it doesn't hurt that bad. If we beat a good UNC team, only helps our cause (SOS). If we dismantle them, ala VT in '07, whether they're good or not, it shines a positive light on us on the national stage.

Recruiting tool. Unfortunately, we don't make the SECCG every year...and fortunately, we don't play in the Peach Bowl every year. But we are in ATL a bunch, and another trip can only help make inroads into a fertile recruiting ground. The only person that shouldn't be for this is Mark Richt.

Anytime LSU is featured in front of a national audience, it's a plus. The Peach Bowl blow out win is why we're even ranked in the top 25 going into this season.

Due to the fact that it's OOC, and played at a neutral site, Les may look at it as a bowl game environment, and we all know what that means.:hihi:

I see no con here...other than losing a home game I wouldn't be able to attend anyway, and a tailgating event I wouldn't be able to attend anyway. Sorry for those of you who WOULD be able to attend, but ATL is a fun road trip, so have at it. I would expect nothing less than to see the Tiger Stadium East effect in play.

i doubt it. the 08 game against tulane was in ts and due to some rescheduling, the 09 game will be in ts also.

i was for the series against tulane when it first came about. its an old rivalry with an in state school and used to be a tradition. but it doesnt have the same feel it used to. lets just get that series over and done with and move on.

If you're talking about recruiting the state of NC. Just not much in the way of high school OR college football in this area (bear in mind, I didn't say none). NC State is the closest to an SEC-like atmosphere. Otherwise, when you talk college football over here, you get quite an eye glaze. UNC will be pummeled.

UNC is on the rise. This is a very good idea IMO. It will not, in all likelihood be a cupcake game - they've been recruiting pretty well and have a very good coach.

I don't mind if we play an occasional game out of town but don't want to give up too many home games. Season ticket prices are determined by the number of games but TAF fees are a flat charge so I don't want to pay for seat backs and arm rests if I can't use them. An extra neutral site "away" game would be nice but not every year. Maybe every other year or once every three years.

I wonder how much the tickets would cost and if LSU fans would get good seats. If they're similarly priced to home games and have similar seating, I would go. I'm not interested in paying bowl game prices though...or being stuck in the endzone.

It's possible that LSU could start the season in Atlanta, play in the SEC Championship in Atlanta, and if we come up short...play in the Chick-fil-A Bowl in Atlanta.
