That's what I thought . . . are you sure it's not an ulcer from worrying too much? So what? interceptions, punt returns and goal line stands are part of the game. Well, it damn sure doesn't suggest that they will start slacking now, does it. More undue worry. What about them? You ready to fire Maineri? What evidence do you see for this team quitting? Be specific. I don't see anything except a team getting its ass whipped because we don't have adequate pitching. We're in a slump. It happens.
to be fair, the tigers have their undying support no matter what. win or lose. miles, well, thats another matter. of course winning does make everyone (including me) much easier to be around. :hihi:
Well, I was just trying to defend our boy Crip a bit. He was getting, IMO, a little undo flack for his opinion. Granted I'm not one to agree with the negativity, but I do understand where it is coming from, especially in his case. If for only to show some support of his fanhood I felt it necessary to back up our boy. Now for his prediction of a 6-6 season, I think he is off his rocker. Could we start the season off rough, absolutely, but that doesn't mean the season will be a bust. Just because we start off rough doesn't mean the team and the coaching won't progress and make the necessary adjustments to correct what inefficiences we may have. I'm looking forward to this game and next season. I think that many Tiger faithful, including Crip, are in for a pleasant surprise. I have to believe that the corrections and the hirings that Miles has put forth in this offseason are only going to improve our position. As Red pointed out this team never gave up last season, and although some games were closer than most Tiger fans would like, we still won 9 games and were in it to the very end in all of our loses. I gotta believe that a tweak here and a tweak there is all that we need to turn some of those loses into wins.:geaux: :milesmic: :LSU231:
This. I'm pretty sure anyone here that knows you wouldn't question your pride when it comes to LSU. I know this, you sure go through a lot of trouble to set up camp on the weekends for a team you're supposedly not loyal to. uuuggghhhh I can't wait till September. I think I'm just going to go sit in front of the union and wait it out till yall get there..
Its from worrying about looking for a job not LSU trust me! They are part of the game but when you NEED them to beat MISS STATE...this team should only need helmets and pads to beat Miss State! No it doesnt and is it better to worry and be surprised or be all up beat and then want to jump off a roof? No I dont want to Fire him you missed the point of bringing them up COMPLETELY...you might wanna get your eyes checked! Why I brought them up was because you were basing your feelings about this seasons football team by the ACTIONS of last seasons football team....I suggested your were wrong in that comparison because the actions of the baseball team last season are in direct contrast to the actions of this seasons team. SLUMPS are a part of the game...its how you preform during those slumps that shows what kind of a team you are and the baseball team lost heart...yes pitching was the leading factor but it showed in SLOPPY field play and not being patience at the bat! So in summary the comparison to the baseball team was to show that your theory of last years football team and this years is flawed!
I have no problem admitting I am wrong...wouldnt be the first and since I am married it wont be the last IF I am wrong I will admit it.....can you?
:insane::insane::insane::insane::insane::insane: LSU all the way BABY! To much talent for anything less than 9-4 again.
I understand your concern about UNCs Defense, but LSU will have a strong defense as well and I saw UNC play up close and personal last season. They virtually have no offense, with a terrible QB. Our talent on offense alone will score a few points in this game, cant say the same about theirs.
At the very least this is my thought. As some have mentioned in the past, the teams over the past 2 seasons would have gotten to the records they had on talent alone despite the coaching. I think the same analogy can be made for this upcoming season. This team has enough talent to win 8-9 games even if the coaching is a problem. Should the coaching, and certain positions, JJ, step up and make the right game day decisions that should give us 2 - 3 additional wins. A 10-2 season or even an 11-1 season is very doable. Unfortunately, so is an 8-4 to 9-3. I think that is where we will fall somewhere between the 2 scenarios. Either 9-3 or 10-2.
