As amusing as it is to see them lose, i'd rather have them high in polls late into the year....until they play LSU
I know this may be a little morbid of me, but I can't help but revel in the tears and sadness of Arkansas fans, at least the ones I know personally.
Okay let me get this straight. The Saints return 10 of 11 starters on offense and upgrade a defense ranked toward the bottom of the league yet many have predicted they'll completely collapse without Sean Payton. Meanwhile Arkansas was in disarray due to the Bobby Petrino issues yet were considered a Top 10 team. I expected Arkansas to implode this year and was surprised to see them ranked so highly. They may get their act together but I see many more losses coming this season.
It's not going to happen. Arkansas is going to geaux into full meltdown mode, starting with last night's loss, continuing into NEXT week's beatdown, and on and on and on. They will not be ranked anymore when we roll into Fayetteville the day after Thanksgiving. But I figured losing Petrino was going to be hard to overcome.
I had the displeasure of being up in Ark two weeks ago and saw the numerous ads for the statewide TV special called 'Drive to a Championship'. I pointed out to one fan that they needed to win the SEC once before thinking about a NC. But they just don't get it and think they have a top 10 program. Bama will crush them. However, the only signature wins they have had in the last 15 years have been against us. They always play us hard. Tigers don't need to take anyone in the SEC for granted. Edit... Wow...Just saw that the Pigs had the biggest drop in AP history. From 8th to out!
Yeah .. I saw that too! ... from #8 .. to know where to be found. Last nights game pretty much exposed that the team is so shallow that they can't function without Tyler. And ... again .. they have nothing for a defense. They really should hire a defensive guy as their headcoach .. because they don't show even a shadow of knowledge of what a defense is. I live up here in AR ... and the place is pretty depressed. Of course, I'd be depressed too if I new I was the new Vandy II!
Conway was filled with drunken Razorpiggies crying in their beers last night. I was nice and didn't mock any of them.
