Johnny Carson used to have a bit.......Example: Arrogant ass from the tequila commercials commenting, "so, why don't you dress like an adult." cream pies hit him in the face from 3 different directions. Some people just inspire the cream pie response.
We in Eugene, see him on the street, see him working with charities, the U.S. Troops, etc... He's a guy with a big heart. Not sure if you heard, but in 2009, after Oregon got beat by Boise State with "The Punch", a fan wrote him complaining about the game, and sent Chip a bill for his expenses for going to the game. Chip cut the guy a check from his personal account, and sent it to him along with an apology. He's a good guy. Just comes off cocky in his interviews.
