Dude, this is AMERICA, EVERYBODY is guilty by association, especially high profile athletes, the kid didn’t get suspended, so who cares, calm down And I’m sorry, yes sometimes good people get caught in a bad situation, but 2 things 1) If I am a friend of, father of, coach of a high profile athlete such as Thomas is, I don’t let him get in those situations, or If I am the player himself, I would care more and NOT allow myself to fall into those situations 2) Bad situations sometimes – Plural?? no buddy, one time is enough, especially from someone of his caliber. You stay the hell away especially after strike one! – But I guess Some fools never learn
I hear you, Tirk. One could assume that, but he was asked to describe his qualities and he certainly didn't do that. So whatever the question was he didn't answer it. Moral of the story in my mind is he's not someone I would want coaching or teaching my son.
If DT had his own car, he probably could have avoided all of these situations! Why can't an Oregon donor buy him a car already! Where's our Shapiro!??
He should be driving an Escalade with a certain sports brand logo in the grille and on the center caps of his 26" rims by now
You'd think, right? I've seen other Oregon players rolling is nice rides. But they're from families with $$.
the qualities of being a leader is sometimes hard to pinpoint. Kelly was saying thomas is a good leader for him even though he didnt specifically say how. sure he ****ed up. no ones claiming hes a saint. but beyond his quote, kelly is a prick and always is one when interviewed. he really has a chip on his shoulder and seems to let the pressure get to him. i noticed this all last season long before the nc game. and obviously during it when the heat was turned up. snide, arrogant comments. never an honest assessment when being outplayed either. just more arrogance. for that reason alone is enough for me to wish a mudhole stomped in his fat face. the second being, my alumni gets the chance to do it. i like oregon-- and dislike their snarky coach.
Kelly's fast talking, east coast ways rub a lot of people the wrong way. I can see that. We on the west coast have grown into it, and know Kelly beyond that. We don't expect outside people to except that, and that's fine.
its not a way of talking. its about being arrogant and snide no matter which coast you live on. of course when hes doing it as your coach you dont quite pick up on it objectively. i wouldnt ax-pect you to.
