Doesn't seem too serious and only one involving football. UGA violations dig deep into NCAA rulebook | ajc.com
Staying on top of the small stuff is what gives a school credibility when a big investigation happens . . . and sooner or later it happens to everyone. Schools that show a history of self-reporting small violations as they crop up can avoid the dreaded "lack of institutional control" violation.
seems like some of it easily could have been inadvertent. i dont see any biggie. this piddle stuff happens at all schools. red is right. as long as schools self report and then correct, i dont see any harm. sometimes secondary stuff gets bigger and bigger and seems intentional, with a "better to ask forgiveness than permission" mentality. then is when there might be a problem.
I love the one about the equestrian competing before repaying the prize money. If you have enough money to buy a 'show pony' you really don't need the prize money from an event that is not the named Kentucky Derby, Preakness or Belmont. And since when did UGA get all Little Lord Fontleroy with an equestrian team?
