I saw this game at a friend's house yesterday and I have to say they should have lost to ASU. The overall player talent on ASU is a good bit less than LSU and they play differently than the usual ASU which is known for pretty weak defense & running but a really good QB who passes all over the field. This year's team has a senior QB who had practically zero snaps before this season. He is pretty accurate on the short throws but constantly seems to throw high on the long ones so they basically have a short pass game and a very good run game. Their strength is their defense, especially their LB's so they sort of look more like an SEC team. They stayed with UGA all game and finally lost 20-17 on a last second field goal. During the game though they had their best WR wide open for a long TD and he was overthrown. Also late in the game when it was tied 17-17 they cleared out the middle and the TE delayed then was wide open in the middle. He was again overthrown and it was picked by a safety who was just parked in a deep zone. Those overthrows cost them the game. They played as well or better than UGA the whole game with a good bit less talent. This is NOT the same UGA we saw last year. Hope this gives you guys a better feeling about next week.

UGA is not as good as last year, for sure. But they are damn sure better than State, Vanderbilt, Washington, and ULL.

Based on what? The fact that they're Georgia? You don't think Ga could go into Starkville and get their hat handed to them by a fired up MSU team? You think Ga could travel to Seattle and dominate the Huskies? They barely beat ASU at home? You don't thank Vandy could hang with the Dogs? Arky torched them the entire game.

Georgia has now played 4 BCS conference teams in a row. No creampuffs.

Okie State was ranked #9 when Georgia played them on the road and we now know that Houston, who beat OSU, is a solid team as well.
We also now know that South Carolina is a solid team.

Joe Cox is now 5-1 as a starter. He has completed 67 of 110 passes for a 60.9 completion ratio.

With Georgia being 2-0 in the SEC, this will simply be a showdown.

Whoop tee doo. I've watched them twice this year and I think they suck. And so do the Braves!

They are ranked for one thing. Are you seriously trying to say that ULL, Washington, Vandy and State are better than Georgia?

No, but that's not the point. UGA may be better but it doesn't mean anything. Let LSU and Georgia line up and play then I'll tell you if we made a big step up in the competition.

Washington at home in the first game of the season with a new staff and coming off an embarrassing 0-12 was extremely fired up and gave us their best shot.

USL always shoots their wad against LSU and gets the fork stuck in them for the rest of the year.

MSU played their best game of the year (including future games) yesterday.

Vandy is right there with Georgia and would be a toss up at Vandy IMO.

We take everybody's best shot and remain standing at the end.

    Bring it on.

UGA may not be as good as last year's team, but they can put up some points on the board. Joe Cox has been a pleasant surprise for them. ON a personal note, I can't wait for A.J. Green to go one on one against Patrick Peterson. That sould be awesome.
