I was not being sarcastic at all. He's a great pro-prospect based on his measurables, but his college production does not support it.
CFN has him at #3 so far. "Ten best SEC players in the first half of the season 1. Andre Smith, OT Alabama 2. Michael Oher, OT Ole Miss 3. Matthew Stafford, QB Georgia" http://cfn.scout.com/2/803451.html
Yeah, that list doesn't even have Tebow in the top 10. I think we can safely say that the list is useless. He's not putting up numbers like last year, but the dude still has accounted for 13 TDs to 1 INT and is completing 60+% of his passes. Come on now, what great minds made that list?
My point was the media has overblown his credentials much more so than saying he is a mediocre QB. He's a decent QB. That's about it thus far. Maybe he will progress, which is what you would expect. As a senior, maybe he has put it all together. We shall see.
He's leading the SEC in several stat cats, and/or tied in others. I'd say he's better than "decent" even in a year in which the SEC isn't too bueno in the QB dep't. Most yards passing, completion percentage, TD's...
the minds at CFN consistently have the best college football analysis out there. i certainly value it more than my own, or yours. hell, they know enough to put linemen on there.
