I think your assessment is pretty fair for the most part. However, I have faith in Miles and his defensive staff to change up the defense enough and pressure the hell out of Stafford. I think that is our only chance. Our defense impressed the hell out of me the second half last week (and I was convinced we did not have it in us) and seem to finally play with some emotion. I think they grow a little more this week and pull out the win. My purple and gold goggles are not the only reason, I think our D line can dominate Georgia's Oline and Crowton finds ways to score. When all else fails...simply put your faith in the hat. :milesmic:
That wasnt my point. It was that he is frustrating to play against because even if you have the right play on he has the skill set (his arm) to get out of trouble.
Completely understand....just having some fun with it. And too that point I was pointing out he's been prone to make bad decisions, which Tiger NEVER does, and there you have Phil.
stafford still makes too many mistakes. it may just come down to whose DBs catch balls and whose have them slip through their hands.
I'm not comparing stafford as a freshman to lee now, I'm comparing stafford now to lee now, which is all that really matters.
Stafford is 23-5 as a starter which includes a great deal of, "on the job learning," as a freshman. "Most over-rated," is a bit sarcastic for a QB who NFL scouts see as a potential franchise player. http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=66486&draftyear=2010&genpos=QB The LSU QB will be under more pressure since LSU is already a game down to Alabama. An LSU loss would give Alabama a two game lead in the SEC West and they would totally control their own destiny. UGA is even with Florida and the game next week will actually swing the SEC East one way or the other.
First of all, I know what the NFL scouts say about Stafford. They were even higher on a bust known as Ryan Leaf, once upon a time. I'm not saying that Stafford will be a bust, but frankly, I'm not sold, either. Perhaps he'll make a believer of me on Saturday. Of course, I hope not. Secondly, relating to the pressure on LSU as opposed to UGA, I would say that's a wash. Hopefully, our team isn't even looking that far ahead at this point.
he is clearly overrated. still a good qb. most overrated? probably not but cant think of anyone moreso offhand. makes no sense. LSU controls their own destiny as well.
Georgia can afford losing to LSU (in terms of conference aspirations) since the cocktail party would still decide who goes to the SECCG given that UF has one SEC loss.
