They are a good team, don't get me wrong, but they are very beatable. They have not looked dominant at any time this season (not that we have either).

Their lines are mediocre, and their passing game only decent. They've got a pretty good defense though.

I think we stack the box to stop Moreno, (a hell of a RB who will get some yards), press AJ Green (their only play-making WR), and force Stafford (the most overrated college QB in the country) to beat us with his other WRs.

The game lies in the hands of our DB's, as they've been our weak-link all season. If they have a good game, we win. I'm hoping the second half of the South Carolina game was the turning point for them. There's too much talent back there for there to be so many problems with miscommunications & blown assignments. They've got several games under their belt now & inexperience should not be a factor.

Stafford = most overrated QB in college football

In fact, I would say Lee & Stafford are a wash. Yep, I said it.

Green is the real deal (ala Julio Jones) and will pose major problems for us if we're not careful.

Moreno must be contained first and foremost. Their entire offense will live and die Saturday by how well he can run the ball.

We should be able to run on Georgia. Their D-line is thin and can be worn down. That's what I am counting on. Long sustained drives, running the ball mostly in the 4th quarter.

I wouldn't go that far... Lee makes a lot more mistakes than Stafford.

Yeah, I think we've already played the toughest opponent on our schedule. We should be hitting on MOST cylinders this week. Gawga ain't quite what they were supposed to be so I feel better about this game than I did earlier this year. I think LSU feeds off the crowd and comes away with a W albeit a close one...

they may be beatable, but i seriously doubt we'll do it. i mean the score is already 7-0 ala and 7-0 GA, WHY? b/c jarett lee will throw 1-2 int's and one returned for a touchdown-- so, we're already in the hole there--and while we may be able to get out of a hole with SC but there is no way saban and richt will allow that- they have better coaches and better players.

    1. i would rather hatch run the ball more than jarett throw-- at least we can hang on to the ball more
    2. i watched the game in its entirety yesterday and lets just say that Lee prob should have been picked 2 more times with EXTREMELY STUPID THROWS. I would almost go out on a limb and say we didnt win the game as much as sc lost it
    3. our secondary is an embarassment and im sure we will make stafford look like an all sec QB.

it's just sad to see our D ( secondary only)- which was our bread and butter collapse and our O struggle so hard. and lafumble and byrd need to help out too---- they BOTH dropped 1-2 passes EACH that should have been a touchdown-- those were the 10% of passes that were somewhat catchable. how many times will lee throw of his back foot and thor into double and triple coverage- who does he think he is matt flynn? NOT

im a diehard fan ( is everyone here optimists or what?) , but i know the teams limits and if you take how we play and how those teams have both played, we can just hope to keep it close. and maybe colt can win it.

I'll give you that UGA and Bama have better players overall than SC, but Spurrier is on par with Richt (certainly) and Saban.

And why wouldn't we be optimistic? As fans of LSU, we can obviously pick apart every aspect of our team because we watch our games so thoroughly. But every team has weaknesses, and UGA has plenty (perhaps as many as we do.)

I don't have a good feel for how Saturday will go. If the defense that made it first appearance of the season last Saturday night (in the 2nd half) goes out there, I feel good about the outcome. But I wholeheatedly agree with CParso's sentiment that UGA is very beatable.

Georgia is going to be a handful, fellers. I'm glad it's at our place.

I agree Lee probably could have been picked 2 more times against SC, but the guy came back and made 3, count em, 3 third down conversions under pressure. So lets not get crazy about throwing Hatch in their full time.

Secondary embarrasment? you may have missed the second half of the game. Hawkins played like an All-SEC player, Coleman as well. Oh did you see Taylor. I mean I think you may be reaching with your verbage. This defense is ready to turn the corner. Our D-line dominated that game, we just need a LB to step up to control the lanes.

Just some things I thought you may find interesting after reading your post.

    1) UGA is #1 in SEC in Total Offense

    2) UGA is #1 in SEC in Passing Offense

    3) UGA is #1 in SEC, completing almost 50% of 3rd Down Opportunities

    3) UGA is #6 in SEC in Rushing Offense

I know it's opposite what you'd expect from a Georgia ballclub with Knowshon Moreno, but this isn't last year's Bulldogs and Stafford is far from a slouch.

LSU and Georgia have a lot of the same problems. Neither of us have been able to force turnovers (LSU has forced 4 and UGA has forced 6), and rank #11th and #12th in the SEC in that category. Both teams have struggled giving up yardage through the air, ranking no higher than #9th in the conference in any defensive passing statistic.

One glaring difference is defending the run. UGA is #2 giving up just 50yds+ per game, while LSU is #7 surrendering 108yds per game. Dawgs are 4th in Total Defense, LSU is 9th.

The field position game is pretty equal with both teams having solid punters and great punt return games. Georgia being dead last in penalties, swings this in LSU's favor though.

    It's gonna be close.
