UFC: Randy Couture vs Brock Lesnar

im quite aware thats the point but dont kid yourself. Mir was lucky he was still breathing.

some of it is, not all that much from what I saw. And I was the biggest lesnar doubter since i had no clue who he was. But make no mistake, this isnt your average 6'4 370 lb guy. this dude is all muscle on top of being all athlete. theres no one like him.

Hes so strong he can overcome his lack of grappling and braz jj and still be successful. Im no longer selling him short. But of course Couture will have to be a decent favorite based on his all-world experience and smarts.

fighting mir was no tomato can and yet he was right there. one of the best bjj out there.

absolutely. he can get by with mediocre ground skills for mma and still be successful. this isnt butterbean's younger brother here.

lesnar beats couture with a 2nd rd tko.

 

I didn't see the fight but according to my brother it almost looked like couture laid down. He said after the fight it was maid known that Couture is going to Affliction.

 

no he definitely didnt lay down. was a good first round but couture got caught with an elbow.

then the same in the 2nd but the biggest was just a glancing hit off the temple.

didnt look like much but it was in the right spot and his knees went with him.

then 100 hammer fists later they had to stop it;

 

I was wrong about Lesnar.

He's so big and strong.

If he doesn't make a fatal "inexperienced" mistake that gets himself submitted, I can't see him losing to anyone except maybe Fedor.

 

No way Couture laid down. He just couldn't do much with Lesnar. Brock was way too big and way too strong. Couture had a good game plan, and if he could have gotten Lesnar to the late rounds there might have been a different ending.

Couture couldn't take him down, and there were 3-4 exchanges where both men landed good shots, but Couture was wobbled and Lesnar wasn't.

Bottom line: Brock Lesnar is a BEAST!!!

The ref should have called the fight before he did. Lesnar was dribbling Couture's head on the mat forever.

Don't see Couture going to Affliction especially with the restraining order the coutures filed against the owner of Affliction.

I sawthe fight. He did not lay down. After the ref stopped the fight Randy tried to stand up and fell right back down to the ground. He as completely out of it. Couture had some great shots. He opened a fairly nasty cut over Brock's right eye at the beginning of the 2nd round. It was a good fight, Brock is just the Hulk.
