Did you guys see this anounced yesterday through UFC? The fight will be held November 15th in Las Vegas.

Also, I read on various websites that UFC has signed Couture to a new, 3-fight deal. I hope it's true. Randy Couture is one heluva fighter.

IMO, this is a bad fight for Lesnar. As a long time wrestling fan, I've always admired Lesnar's athleticism, but this may not be a good for him. Sure, Lesnar is a big strong guy with all the potential in the world, but I think he's way too green for Couture.

    I'll be pulling for Lesnar!

If I am a heavyweight in the UFC, I am some kind of pissed off right now.

Lesnar is 1-1 with a 1st round loss and a win against a tomato can that UFC designed just to save his career.

Now he is getting the title shot?

Couture vacated his title. Whoever wins the Noguiera Vs Mir fight would fight the winner of Randy Vs Lesnar.

But I agree, Lesnar shouldn't even be fighting anywhere near a contention bout for the belt. He's not even a Top 25 Heavyweight fighter.

The funny thing to me was that people said after his fight with Mir, "oh he got caught. The only reason Mir won was because he grabbed a leg..." THAT'S THE F**KING POINT OF THE FIGHT!

Couture is going to destroy Lesnar. Frank Mir made him tap like a b*tch...

He needs to go fight Kimbo so they can have the marketing dream that everyone is losing their minds about and leave the real fighting to the professionals.

I agree with most of this. Lesnar is NOT ready for a title shot.

However, Brock Lesnar vs Randy Couture will make a ton of money. Lesnar is a beast and everyone knows that. I give him a chance to pull off the upset, but I really think Couture will find a way to neutralize all of Brock's strenghts.

Having said that, I will buy and watch the PPV, and I'll be rooting for Brock.

I am not so sure that Couture will destory Lesnar. If lesnar can keep himself under control then he does have a good chance. The only reason Mir made him tap was because Lesnar got to excited and messed up his positioning opening himself up for that ankle bar (if i remember right.)

Should be a great fight. I will get it.

Did ya'll hear Evan Tanner was found dead yesterday?

Apparently he went out camping in the desert on some spiritual journey and ran out of water and gas for his motorcycle...

    The guy could fight.

plus anyone who thinks lesnar cannot overwhelm anyone in his division with brute strength is kidding themselves. he will likely lose to a kneebar or something of the sort to couture but he will be game and have a punchers chance, so to speak.

he is so imposing, mir was very lucky to submit him. he was getting beat down mercilessly and was close to being pound cake.

pulling for couture but still interested in seeing how this one turns out.

That's the thing about it... That's the point of the fight, to have someone getting their @ss kicked and then to grab a submission because of skill. Lesnar had no clue what Mir was doing until he locked that hold in.

Of course someone who is 6'4" and almost 300 lbs is going to be imposing. He's a phenomenal athlete. Get him on the ground and some of that power is neutralized to an extent.

I just think that he's got a long, long way to go. Just like Kimbo. Kimbo would have lost that fight against Cauliflower Ear had CBS and EliteXC not forced the fight so their cash cow wouldn't look like he didn't belong.

He'll most likely lose to Couture and Joe Silva will set him up with multiple tomato cans to pound on and improve his record. His inexperience will show when he faces the more seasoned fighters.

I'd say that Lesnar is a lot more developed than Kimbo. Whereas Kimbo is almost strictly a street-fighter, Lesnar was the NCAA wrestling champ I believe 2 times at Minnesota. Therefore, I'd expect him to catch on to the ground game much, much faster than Kimbo. The guy is an unreal athlete, and will be almost unstoppable in due time. Remember, this is a dude that almost made the Vikings after not having played football since high school.
