if gsp beats condit I think it is, he and silva will probably face off Id think. condit is no pushover and gsp hasnt fought in ages due to that bum knee.
Mike Quick Swick is re-entering the ring after a 2.5 year absences, stomach ailment and knee, this Saturday on the Shogun vs. Vera, Machida vs. Bader card. I've been following him after the Ultimate Fight he appeared on. I'll be routing for him and not remotely placing a wager on his fight, hate to say I'd lean toward his opponent, Darkness DaMarques Johnson. The other fights I have Machida and something is telling me Shogun.
Yeah, I'm unclear on who is going to fight Silva for the next title fight. The Belcher Camp seems to think that Belcher will get the shot if he beats Belfort in Brazil. I have heard whispers of a Jonny Jones fight with Silva and also a GSP fight with Silva. I think Dana is telling all these fighters that they have a shot at fighting Silva for the title. I just think that the Belcher fight makes sense b/c they are in the same weight class, plus he deserves a shot, IMO. The Anderson Silva Vs Jon Bones Jones SuperFight would be the greatest thing ever to happen to the UFC. I think that Silva may hang up the gloves soon. I just hope to see the Silva/JBJ fight before he does.
I remember swick. he seemed like a likable dude. Brandon Vera is fighting the main card? He used to be one of my favorites but he had been getting knocked out pretty regularly when he stepped up the competition. hes going to get submitted early. this should be a good matchup for machida. A one-dimensional big puncher in bader is the guys he beats pretty handily but hes been losing too of late. ill take the machida.
silva is just going for big paydays now. He didnt want to fight sonnen really but did so anyhow. And he can dictate to dana who and when. no one else can. so that means GSP. if not maybe Weidman but hes not well known even though hes undefeated. belcher would be a bigger draw. it wont be jon jones who walks around at 235lbs or maybe even 240.
