Several different media outlets are saying Brock got $400K.

The headliners get a cut of the gate and/or the ppv take. So add up his base pay, the ppv take, and his sponsors -- he might make $3 million total for this fight.

I have seen the $3million number in several places.

I guess it could happen. Iceman's base pay was $2 million when he fought Rashad Evans. Lesnar is producing some insane intrest from the media so I guess it's possible he made that after endorsements and such.

i guess so. i just know dana white is a tight-ass so its surprising. musta been seriously incentive-laden and he cashed in big. good for him.

usually i hate arrogant SOBs but i dont understand the big deal about lesnar's antics. i thought he was justified given the crap hes taken. hell i was a doubter at first.

the fact people think this is going to hurt the rep of ufc is laughable. lesnars crap will simply make it more viable and lucrative.

I agree. The UFC now has a bad guy. They will bring in Fedor and will urge him to be the "good guy". When Fedor and Lesnar clash....ppv records will be broken.

The UFC has always had a "heel" at one time or another. I cannot remember the guys name (Carlos I think), but Matt Hughes beat him for the title back in the early 2000s...and this guy came down with supermodels and danced all the way down to the octagon (ala Ric Flair).

Tito Ortiz was another. When he beat his opponents...he would flip them off and/or motion like he was burying them in the ground.

Hell even Ken Shamrock (former WWF wreslter) had to play the heel a few times against Gracie.

Dana White can say all he wants to the press...but he is loving this. No such thing as bad press...Brock just sold a few more PPVs in my opinion.

You want another heel? Wait and see if Kimbo Slice makes it all the way through the next Ultimate Fighter...big if...but stranger things have happened.

I like the character Lesnar is putting on. Him and Dana both know it is just a show. If every single person in the world was saying my success was a fluke I'd probably have a chip on my shoulder too. Vince McMahon taught him well. As long as he keeps winning I don't see a problem with it.

For all the people that like him, they will buy PPV's because they enjoy watching him fight. For all the people that hate him, they will buy PPV's for the opportunity to finally see him lose. Love him or hate him, he is the best thing that UFC has right now.

you thinking of carlos newton? black dude with a half jheri curl/afro who hughes slammed and knocked both out at the same time? then hughes came to first and didnt know what happened.

ortiz was clearly the bad boy of MMA and he played it well. dana white still hates him to this day and wont acknowledge his accomplishments. white is a loser and a prick but did hit the lottery.

regarding kimbo, ive been looking forward to the ult fighter.

may be part show but that dude wasnt playing as emotional as he got. gotta love the passion.

i was wondering how big lesnar was in college. i mean, most college wrestlers are mostly stocky guys. lesnar must have absolutely crushed those guys in competition. he could lay on the majority of them as he did mir and simply suffocate them. even before steroids.

his back spreads out like a cobra. what a nightmare he had to have been, skills or not. he was what 100-5 or some shiit.

mir still claiming to have made a silly mistake and gave him his hands?:grin:
