bhelm thanks for starting this thread so early I have been waiting to hear some opinions on the game.

I think this game will be much more exciting (maybe I am biased because there are more LSU recruits playing in the game)

Shep and Debose should have a great game

Look for Barkley to struggle, not just because he had a bad year but also because the o-line hasnt played together more than a week and he isnt the most mobile QB

There is going to be a Brit playing LB -- Tom Wort. He moved to the U.S.A. nearly five years ago.

Of the players considering LSU, who is making their pick tonight? Also, are we still a serious contender for Filo?

Wort is the hardest hitter in this class by a distance, regardless of position. Came over to the US because his dad got a job, was a good soccer player but had problems with discipline. Was introduced to the sport and is still really playing on instincts. It will be very interesting to see how he does at the college level, his burst over a short distance and ability to lay the lick on any coming near him is amazing. He is lacking a bit in smarts and skills but he has great speed, agility and power. He had 210 tackles in 14 games last year, 4 sacks, 4 FF, 2 blocked kicks and 3 picks.

I am really rooting for him, as a lot of the sporting media over here is based on how British players are doing as it is British papers and tv channels who are the biggest. For example since Lewis Hamilton won the F1 world championship motorsports have really had a lot of coverage. If Wort can make it in college and the pros I hope he can raise the profile of American football in this part of the world, much moreso than games at Wembley ever will. Check out his highlights, they make him look like the biggest beast in this class, a human hit stick.

I can't see Shepard dominating in the passing game that much against far superior defenders, but I can see him making some big plays with his legs. Debose shouldn't have much trouble taking a few screens for big yardage as he will be the fastest guy on the field most of the time. I think all the 3 Seminole players are making their picks tonight, as is the number one guard, Martinez from Utah, who is picking from us, USC and UCLA.
