I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of this guy. If he's been Leach's OC and on the Tech staff for so long I'm guessing he's a pretty good OC. I guess he was ready for a change, you would think he could do better than U of H.

Well, since you asked , Bama interviewed every available OC they could find. How did they miss this one. I did not see his name pop up anywhere in Bama's recent search.

I've never heard of "inside receivers coach". I know what that means but that would mean there was another receivers coach on the staff at the same time.
    Anyone heard of that?

Dwayne Dixon at Fl. a few years back
    Robert Anae at BYU
    Kendal Briles at Baylor

A few others that I know of, but funny that Briles' Dad who is the HC coached at TTU as did Anae.

Really doesn't seem so strange if you consider a tight end coach. If you have a pass focus system, it would make sense to have multiple coaches for the receivers. The positions are not the same.

Guess that would depend on if you're a school that wants to adopt that no-running-game style.

Then again, perhaps he's an OC that simply conformed to the wishes of the head coach's offensive philosophy.

IMO, he'd be a much stronger candidate if he would have been able to deminstrate an effective running game. If he's able to have an offense with success running the ball (we already know his offenses can throw the ball effectively) then he will be even more sought after.
