5' 7" (Please don't make me feel old and post that you have never heard of Spud Webb. Thank you very much)
no offense, but if that don't amaze you, then your excite level is off... i just think it's funny when guys who can't get 4 inches off the floor are not amazed by guys who can get 45 inches off the ground.
I'm sorry, but where in those two sentences did I say it didn't amaze me. I simply stated thated personally, I thought the dunk contest was stupid. There are only so many dunks you can do. And for your information, my vertical leap is 13''.
That's a pretty stupid, dumb-ass thing to fine someone for. He didn't make any negative comments towards an official, coach, or player. Why in the hell does the NBA care that he made this comment? If I were him, I'd not show up.
I used to LOVE watching the Slam Dunk contest, but now, I really don't get too excited by it. C'mon! Face it. No one jumping from the FT line will shock you anymore... No one blind folded will shock you anymore...No 360's will shock you anymore...No one 5'6" dunking like he's 6'5" will exactly shock you anymore... Basically, there's only so many ways for a guy to jump in the air and stuff a ball through a hoop--and we've seen them all and every time some player does a "double-pump, reverse dunk" and the judges shell out "10's", it takes away from the times Jordan or Wilkins did it....
I'm pretty sure it wasn't the NBA that fined him. The only thing they mentioned in the article was a $10,000 fine by the Chicago Bulls.
You are correct, sir. In related news, I'm not sure Thomas will be in the dunk contest now anyway, after rolling his ankle Thursday night -- on a fast break dunk.
